Eluxeo Ultra FAQ

01. How is Eluxeo Ultra different to Eluxeo?

arrow

Eluxeo Ultra is one of the first endoscopy systems to detect and characterise lesions in real-time. Working together with our existing Eluxeo platform, our new AI endoscopy technology, CAD EYE, provides enhanced support to the user, delivering our most powerful, complete and comprehensive package for endoscopists.

02. How is Eluxeo Ultra better than competitors?

arrow

It is our aim for healthcare professionals to always have the best tools at their fingertips to deliver optimum outcomes for patients, no matter how simple or complex the procedure. We believe the Eluxeo Ultra platform provides a superior experience for healthcare professionals daily, deploying the latest technology and best-in-class imaging to detect lesions efficiently and deliver improved outcomes for patients.

Eluxeo endoscopes are re ergonomically designed to suit men and women and equipped with the best available CMOS technology which results in outstanding high-resolution image quality, smooth moving images and dramatically reduced blurring, helping endoscopists to diagnose patients accurately. The system employs innovative Blue Light Imaging (BLI) and Linked Colour Imaging (LCI) technology proven to help detect abnormalities early. This ultimately leads to better patient outcomes.[1]

Eluxeo Ultra features our new CAD EYE technology, which provides enhanced support to endoscopists with augmented detection and characterisation capabilities from the simplest to the most complex tasks. Uniquely trained by our powerful AI supercomputer, CAD EYE is one of the first real-time support systems for healthcare professionals, acting as a second pair of eyes to accurately detect and characterise colonic polyps, raising the competency level of even a relatively inexperienced endoscopist to near-expert level.

03. What are the advantages to multi-light technology in Eluxeo Ultra?

arrow

We know that image quality is integral to achieving optimal diagnostic results in endoscopic procedures. Fujifilm was first to market with multi-light LED technology providing endoscopists with a range of observation modes to gain the clearest and most comprehensive picture of their patients’ health.

By combining different wavelengths, this technology allows healthcare professionals to switch easily between White Light, Blue Light Imaging (BLI) and Linked Colour Imaging (LCI), allowing for improved detection and characterisation of polyps and effective and efficient diagnosis.

  • White light provides tailored LED light intensity for optimal illumination inside the gastrointestinal tract.
  • Linked Colour Imaging (LCI) supports improved detection of lesions. It is specifically designed to foster detection of slightly elevated lesions and the enhanced colour contrast means that red appears redder and white appears whiter, improving inflammation detection and accurate delineation.[2] It can help to reduce the miss-rate of neoplastic lesions.[3]
  • Blue Light Imaging (BLI) supports accurate characterisation of lesions by allowing healthcare practitioners to visualise mucosal surface structures and superficial micro-vessels. It is superior to White Light alone for real-time prediction of histology in polyps.[4] It also has the potential to reduce costs by redundant removal of diminutive colorectal polyps.[5]

04. Is the Eluxeo Ultra easy-to-use?

arrow

Absolutely. From the simplest to the most complex procedures, the Eluxeo Ultra platform provides a superior experience for healthcare professionals daily, deploying the latest technology and best in class imaging to detect lesions efficiently and deliver improved outcomes for patients.

Eluxeo endoscopes are ergonomically designed to suit men and women and are equipped with the best available CMOS technology which results in outstanding high-resolution image quality, smooth moving images and dramatically reduced blurring.

05. Does CAD EYE mean we no longer need endoscopists?

arrow

Our new CAD EYE technology provides enhanced support to endoscopists with augmented detection and characterisation capabilities from the simplest to the most complex tasks. It does not replace endoscopists, instead CAD EYE acts as a second pair of eyes to accurately detect and characterise colonic polyps.

06. Will CAD EYE work with my existing Eluxeo?

arrow

Yes. Working together with our existing Eluxeo platform, CAD EYE provides enhanced support to the user, delivering our most powerful, complete and comprehensive package for endoscopists. This is just the first addition to the Eluxeo Ultra family of technologies. The Eluxeo Ultra platform will accommodate a range of future tools and technologies as they evolve, so our best endoscopy system for your patients today will remain so tomorrow.
